sanjay kumar / Is engaged in creating house sparrows from this November to August. In view of the housing crisis, set up boxes for them and protect them. The sparrow builds the nest slowly. When the time comes to lay eggs, the sparrow starts nesting in or around human houses. It builds a nest only after inspecting the site. Most nest in holes or places that are inaccessible to ravenous birds such as crows, eagles, and hawks, and can only be entered by them. The nesting season usually begins in November with the mating season. A man’s house is better for it. Humans also consider it auspicious for sparrows to come and nest in their homes.

The house  sparrow enters the human house and brings the weed to the ventilation, fan cap, bathroom pipe, under the window AC or in the cavity. They are very light and soft. The palatial house in the village is their best bet. In cities, it nests above or inside the shutters of shops and motor garages. Khaprail’s nest is very safe for them to live in as it is not threatened by large raiding birds. Only snakes and cats pose a threat. The snake enters the shell and devours the egg or the young. The cat also sometimes snaps, but the male guards the outside while the female stays inside. That is, both of them guard the egg or the baby. Therefore, it lives in the house of man and in front of his eyes, man also loves it and protects it during an attack on it. In recent years, concerns have been raised about the declining numbers of sparrows in cities. With modern living and multi-storeyed buildings, the sparrow does not find a place to roost like in old houses. So the old pansari shops are declining because of the supermarket culture there. This leaves the sparrow without shelter and food. People involved in sparrow conservation, due to the lack of ventilation or housing in cities, advise people to install boxes. The sparrow also comes into the box and builds a nest.

A sparrow’s nest has no technology. Just looking for a safe place, it makes a nest by bringing tender leaves and weeds. Once the nest is built, it lays eggs in it. The sparrow pair stays by the nest, one at a time, until the young hatch and fly away. Once the chicks have hatched, the nest is cleaned and made new by putting weeds on top of the nest again to lay eggs. We have taken the ruthi sparrow’s habitat away from us, so we have to take the initiative and provide housing to call it back. House – courtyard – balcony – box has to be put under the roof or tunnel / hole has to be made in the houses for his residence.

Arjun Singh from Rohtas has made hundreds of holes on the wall of his house where thousands of sparrows live, while people across the country, including Bihar, have installed wooden, fly, mud and cardboard houses in their homes where sparrows live. Sparrows usually need a nest to lay their eggs. You can install a wooden, fly, clay, and cardboard box in your homes. If there is a problem with the wooden, fly, clay, etc. box, leave the shoe box or any box plastic. Place the box in a safe place that is inaccessible to attacking birds such as crows, hawks, eagles, as well as away from the reach of cats. Try placing the box high under the ceiling or near the ventilation. Protect the box from water and sunlight; do not expose the entrance to direct sunlight. Keep in mind that the entrance hole for the bird in the box should be 32mm or two inches wide. Having a larger hole will make it easier for the attacking bird to attack while the other bird will take up residence in the house and. Some people set the nest on a tree where cats and raiding birds come easily. This needs to be avoided. Their habitat is human habitation, but concrete jungles have created a housing crisis for them in human habitations. It is migrating in search of habitat.

The rapid construction of concrete houses in the village has also taken away their habitat from the sparrows. This is also believed to be one of the reasons for the disappearance of sparrows from many villages. History is witness to the fact that wherever humans have gone, sparrows have also gone there. Sooner or later, pairs of sparrows arrive to roost wherever humans go. They build their nests in the human’s home. Therefore, it is called a house sparrow. So let’s take the initiative and put up the box.
